79-year-old Yu Zuofu from Anshan city of Liaoning province has turned wasted chopsticks and sticks into 200 pieces of miniature landscape artwork.

After Yu retired in 2004, he walked around the nearby mountain and took discarded ice cream sticks home to see if they could be reused. One day, Yu was reading a book depicting 14 landscapes from the Chinese classic The Dream of Red Mansions, and thought that among them the Grand View Garden was especially beautiful. Yu then wondered if he could make a miniature landscape of the Grand View Garden.
