WINDHOEK - The state visit to China by Namibian President Hage Geingob was a resounding success and will cement the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, according to the country's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Nandi-Ndaitwah said the visit will assist in country's projects in wide fields particularly infrastructure, agriculture, finance, education and many others.

"No doubt, China has a fast growing economy and soon it could become the biggest economy in the world. To that end, the whole world including developed countries are looking at China for business," she said.

She said the visit has raised opportunities for Namibia, and urged Namibians to be strategic in engagement with their Chinese counterparts.

The Namibian president travelled to China from March 28 to April 2 on the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping and was accompanied by 70 business people from various sectors.
