The world's largest annual human migration — Chunyun, or Spring Festival travel rush in China — began Feb 1 and will continue through March 12.

In order to guarantee travelers' safety most staff at railways, highways and airports give up vacations during the most important family holiday to stick to their posts.

Fu Hao, a station master, checks railway drainage at a small station in Quanzhou county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Feb 3, 2018. The small station only has 10 staff members, divided into three shifts to work every day. As of Feb 3, the station has had 10,688 consecutive days of safe running. [Photo/VCG]
