Selfies 'worse for children than bullying'

A study conduced by researchers at the University of Birmingham found out that selfies are causing more misery to children in schools than bullying.

The study, published in the journal Sport, Education and Society, says: "Young people reported that the selfies created by other young people of the same age could act as a form of peer pressure".

The trend of taking selfies that focuses on slim bodies and good appearances leads young people to develop "negative attitudes" as they compare their appearance to others of their age and question their own.
